I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons here at the City Rescue Mission!  We are so busy with our largest outreaches of the year.  It is hard to belive that our Thanksgiving Food Basket distribution provides food to over 2,000 individuals throughout western Pennsylvania!  Many families can fellowship and give thanks to our Lord this Thanksgiving because of generous Partners In Hope that collect and donate food for this distribution.  This year we are facing a significant increase in poultry prices, so we greatly appreciate all of our Partners in Hope that help us when they "buy a bird" at $15 each.

We are already planning and preparing for our Christmas at Family Care that distributes much needed toys, socks, pajamas, and warm coats to families in need so that no child will go without a Christmas gift under the tree this year.  With the help of generous Partners in Hope and the Marines Toys For Tots program, the City Rescue Mission is able to provide many families a much brighter Christmas.  Our children participating in our Sankey Youth Ministry will also be blessed by generous gifts through our Giving Tree Program.  A special fellowship is also being planned on Christmas Day for those staying in our homeless shelters.
