The Christmas Holiday are always difficult for those served by the City Rescue Mission. That's why we work so hard to help make their Holiday brighter.
Do you want to help some one less fortunate this Christmas?
Do you need help in providing gifts to your children this year?
If you answered yes to either question, here are some opportuntities for you:
CHRISTMAS AT FAMILY CARE
Help the City Rescue Mission make Christmas brighter for children in need by donating the following NEW items:
- Gloves/Mittens/Hats (New only - no hand made please)
- Socks
- Pajamas
- Underwear
- Toys
- Board Games, Coloring Books, Crayons, Educational Books
All items should be appropriate for children age 1 - 14.
Bring your donations to the Family Care Ministry located at 319 Croton Avenue. Bringing your donations by December 7th will assist us greatly. Thank you!

SIGN UPS TO RECEIVE ITEMS FOR YOUR CHILDREN:
Tuesday and Wednesday, December 9 and 10 from 9:00 - 11:00 am & 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Applicants should bring proof of income and ID for the household.
Volunteers are needed to help with taking applications and to help parents "shop" for their children. Call Linda Krumpe at 724-652-4321 or complete the online form at our Volunteer Page.
CHRISTMAS AT MEN'S MINISTRY
Help a homeless man feel loved this Christmas by providing some necessities to use as Christmas gifts.
We need groups or individuals to adopt a man (or men) to purchase gift(s) from a list.
Group(s) and individuals can donate "Stuff-A-Stocking" care packages (toiletries, cookies, novelties, and Burger King gift cards.)

CHRISTMAS AT SANKEY CENTER
Donations of hats, gloves, scarves (new only - no hand made please) and other winter wear are needed for the children
served in the Youth Program at Sankey Center.
We also need groups or individuals to adopt a child(ren) for a Giving Tree program. Giving Tree gifts need to be returned to the Sankey Center no later than December 15.

CHRISTMAS AT COVENANT HOUSE
Donations of small gifts for the women residents of Covenant House are needed. Some examples of appropriate gifts would be NEW:
Winter Hats, Scarves, Gloves (new only - no hand made please)
Boxed Bath Sets
Boxed Cosmetic Sets
Disposable Cameras
Costume Jewelry
